Trippin' Your Chocolate Wanderlust

"I Can Taste the Chocolate"

Schoggi means “chocolate” in Swiss German. We combined the art and heart of chocolate you’ve been seeking.

Our Swiss-styled recipe blends a generous amount of cocoa, whole organic milk, cream, and sugar: clean, simple ingredients that linger on your tongue and palate.

Chocolate is a Fine Art

Shōgi cacao beans are roasted to a rich, dark color until the signature chocolatey aroma is achieved. The roasted beans are cooled until cracking to reveal the cocoa nibs. Ground and heated, the nibs produce a velvety cocoa liquor that is pressed, formed, and ground into the unique fat-rich cocoa powder we use in our Shōgi recipe.

The Most Elevating Pause in Your Day

Shogi was imagined on a mountain trail. It was inspired by the chocolate creations of artisan friends and born of the breathtaking beauty of Switzerland.

You deserve a happy life, to be uplifted. So think big. Believe you can. Then keep believing. You deserve new experiences, to see options, and to be surprised.

About Us

Randy

Half my life I’ve been searching for that chocolate magic in a bottle–chocolate like I found in Switzerland when I lived there with my family. But all I’ve found in the States has always been too sweet, too thin, and too boring. Dark chocolate has a complex palette of flavors from start to finish. It unblocks your creativity and awakens your wanderlust.

Fast forward, I’m done with the corporate world. On an alpine hike, my brother challenged me to chase the magic, to get after my dream of creating the finest dark chocolate milk experience.

So I did. I created Shōgi for you and me.

Try it here.

I’m a chocolate milk snob. A few years ago, I landed in Switzerland. Stopping at a village market, I instinctively reached for a bottle of chocolate milk. Chocolate milk has always been a reward and a calming influence for me. I sipped, gulped, and sampled chocolate for the next ten days. I thought that when I got back home, I could find here what I had there. Nope.

Randy reached out one day saying he was starting a chocolate milk company. I said, “I’m in!” Turns out, in addition to rock & roll, advertising, and laughing at each other’s jokes, we shared a passion for richer chocolate milk. I was excited but skeptical. Most chocolate milk is grade-school quality: low-fat, low-chocolate, low taste.

My first sip of Shōgi blew my mind and my taste buds and it took me back to Switzerland, the land of my chocolate immersion, and the premium chocolate experience I discovered there.
